Information About Learning at RV

Attendance Expectations:

  • Students are to join all scheduled Google Meetings with their class/teacher. All meetings will be accessible through Google Classroom. If you are unable to attend a class meeting online, please reach out to your teacher and/or the building office.

  • Students have until 11:59 pm to complete assignments that are due each day. Students that complete their required work by 11:59 pm each day will be counted as present. Submitting incomplete or unacceptable work does not count as work completion.

  • Attending online meetings will significantly increase a student's success in their classes. However, we understand that reliability of internet access and technical difficulties will sometimes make online meeting attendance impossible. For this reason, during online/remote learning days, students will not be counted absent unless assignments are not completed by 11:59 pm on the day the work is due.

Schedule Expectations:

K-5 Schedules
Note: The K-5 schedules below are a general framework. Please check with your child's classroom teacher for any variations implemented due to the unique needs of their students and classroom.

6-12 Schedules

Monday to Thursday, students in grades 6-12 will follow their regular daily class schedule by period.

Can I change the learning option I originally selected?

If you would like to change your child's learning option between Option 1: Face-to-Face and Option 2: Online Only, please contact your school building Principal.

Not sure if your home internet will support online learning?

Run an Internet Speed Test.

Check your internet speed in under 30 seconds. The speed test usually transfers less than 40 MB of data, but may transfer more data on fast connections.

To run the test, you'll be connected to Measurement Lab (M-Lab) and your IP address will be shared with them and processed by them in accordance with their privacy policy. M-Lab conducts the test and publicly publishes all test results to promote internet research. Published information includes your IP address and test results, but doesn’t include any other information about you as an internet user.

To ensure the best experience for online learning, we recommend an internet speed of at least 6 Mbps up and down.
