The River Valley Local School District was founded in 1960 to service parts of Marion County including the villages of Caledonia, Waldo, Martel and Claridon.

A Tradition of Excellence

River Valley Local Schools is comprised of four buildings. There are two K-5 elementary buildings: Heritage and Liberty. There is a 6th-8th grade middle school and a 9th-12th high school. River Valley has an average enrollment of 2000 students.

With our expert faculty and staff, you can be sure your student is getting the very best classroom instruction. Our faculty cares deeply about our district and many of them are River Valley graduates themselves.

Academics & Leadership

Our focus is getting your student the skills they need to succeed after high school. We believe academics are important, but so is learning about the rewards of hard work and persisting through adversity.

Opportunities to Belong

Everyone has interests, and at RV, we help your student turn their interests into a career. With STEM clubs, Orchestra, Band, Art, FFA, Athletics and more, there's definitely a place where you can get "plugged-in".
